Account Validator for Login.Point is a useful utility which will automatically remove network accounts for students who have completed or withdrawn from their courses.

This means that you will:

• Free up disk space that is no longer needed for disused accounts,
• Improve back-up and restore times, because you will only need to process current data,
• Satisfy auditors that old accounts are removed from your systems.

Account Validator compares your list of valid students with your Login.Point created accounts, and removes those that are no longer required.

Account Validator is installed on your Login.Point server, and can be run manually or as a scheduled regular task.

Account Validator features include:

• Log only and delete mode, so you can check to see what would be deleted before actually doing it.
• Removes Active Directory™ and eDirectory™ accounts.
• Removes associated home directories.
• Removes Microsoft Exchange® and Groupwise® accounts.
• Frees up disk space that no longer needs to be used.
• Improves backup and restore times as you only process current data.
• Provides an auditable method of demonstrating the removal of old accounts.
