eKash - The Parent Portal


Parent portal is the web interface provided to parents to enable them to add credit to their child’s account, which can then be spent on services such as catering, vending, printing etc. This enables value to be added quickly and easily from anywhere with internet access and means the student does not have to bring money to the school premises. The Parent Portal also allows the parents to produce historic reports of the child’s spending, including the amount spent and what it’s been spent on. Should a parent therefore wish to control their child’s eating and spending habits.

The parent also has the facility to control the amount that can be spent daily to ensure when adding a balance added it is not spent too quickly.

The Parent Portal is divided into 4 pages:

  • Balance Page
    • Enables the parent to add money to their child’s account, or manage multiple accounts where they have more than one child.
  • Student Page
    • Parent sets up their child’s account, and can then manage their balance and spending.
  • Reports
    • Allows the parent to display a report showing the purchase history
  • My Profile Page
    • For the parent to make changes to their own profile information
